Seaweed Harvest
A woman walks at dawn through the shallows of the Indian Ocean along the coast of Zanzibar collecting seaweed. The seaweed is an export crop. Once dried, it is sent to Asia and Europe for use in food and pharmaceutical industries. The image has a timeless feel yet seaweed as an export crop is a relatively new phenomenon.
