Sandhill Cranes
Several Sandhill Cranes fly over a canal on Sauvie Island near Portland, Oregon. The canal forms a boundary of Oak Island, an island within an island. Sauvie Island is the largest of several islands on the Columbia River system in the Pacific Northwest. These cranes are on their annual migration south to warmer climes.
