Mt. Hood

Mount Hood in the western Oregon Cascades, reflected in Trillium Lake, about 8 miles from the mountain.

At 11,250 ft., Mount Hood, called Wy'east by the Multnomah tribe, is a stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc of northern Oregon. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) characterizes it as "potentially active", but the mountain is informally considered dormant.
